Haig Street Quarry Bushland Reserve Trails

The Goolman Lookout via Rocky Knoll Lookout trail forms part of the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate managed by Ipswich City Council, and is accessed from the Hardings Paddock Picnic Area off Carmichael's Road in Purga, just South of Ipswich.

Border track, Lamington National Park

North Gorge Walk, Point Lookout

For visitors to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) the North Gorge Walk is an absolute must do. The 1.2 kilometre boardwalk follows the headland of Point Lookout, offering a spectacular outlook from the rocky outcrops to 32 kilometres of white sandy beach – some of the best in Australia.

The Kommo Toera Trail

This magnificent walking track allows you to meander under the shade of towering Melaleuca trees to observe a distinctly unique wetland ecosystem. To access the walk, drive 15 minutes north of Mackay towards the Mackay Marina along Harbour Road.

Lower Portals track, Mount Barney National Park

Boonah, Scenic Rim Area
The Lower Portals track is in Mount Barney National Park. The distinctive peaks of Rising dramatically above the surrounding grazing and farmlands, mounts Barney, Maroon, May, Ernest, Ballow and Clunie form this hiking mecca.

Gamlen Circuit

Ipswich City, Ipswich Area
The Gamlen Circuit trail forms part of the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate managed by Ipswich City Council, and is accessed from the Hardings Paddock Picnic Area off Carmichael's Road in Purga, just South of Ipswich.

Summit Track

Mount Coot-tha, Brisbane Area
The Summit Track track leads from the J C Slaughter Falls picnic area to the Mt Coot-tha Lookout (near the roundabout) through an open Eucalypt forest. The Aboriginal Art Trail also branches off the Summit Track.

Tibrogargan walking circuit, Glass House Mountains National Park

The Glass House Mountains National Park is known for its craggy peaks that tower above the surrounding landscape. Mount Tibrogargan is located between Beerburrum and Glass House Mountains townships, off Marshs and Barrs Roads.
