Yellowbelly Fishing Competition

Windorah annually hosts the Yellowbelly Fishing Competition on the banks of Cooper's Creek, located 10 kilometres south east of town.

Anglers have the opportunity to snag a Yellowbelly, Catfish or Barcoo Grunter, just to name a few.

Prizes and entertainment over the weekend make for a great family event, for both the serious and not so serious fisher. Boats are also permitted.

Don't forget to bring along your camp oven for the Damper Cooking Competition!
