Theodore River Festival

Theodore, Banana Area

27 – 30 September 2018 -

The Theodore River Festival is a fun filled family event that runs different events/activities over four days – the main day being Saturday.

Inspired by the magnificent Dawson River, towns that border its banks pay homage to its virtues, each year throughout September. The Festival is a multi-function event, celebrating the Dawson River, ensuring a fun filled family weekend with lots for kids and adults alike.

Focused on families, thousands turn out to parkland, showground and civic hall events that throw the spotlight on the mighty Dawson and all that’s great about Theodore.

Up and down the river competitions often include but are not limited to tinnie and wheelbarrow racing, gumboot and hay bale throwing, tractor pulling, bike gymkhanas, fishing comps and so much more. Not to mention the art exhibitions, fashion shows and food and market stalls, also not to be missed!
