Dancenorth, 1RAR and Otto’s join forces once again to present… Dance Tropics Dance!

One part mini festival… one part dance show… all parts fun and participatory!

Featuring the hilarious MC Ian Zaro and a cracking showcase of local dancers from Movimiento, Lindyhop Swing group, Dancenorth Company, and crews from Dancenorth’s Public Program “Open Class”- Hip Hop crew, 80s Jazz crew and the gorgeous “Forever Young” over 50s dance group.

A night full of party tunes by 1RAR’s kickin’ band playing songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, naughties, and Top 40s with a huge dance floor, delicious eats by Otto’s Market food trucks, a licenced area and easy (no stress!) social dance lessons…. this is Townsville’s newest dance party under the stars!

Bring your loved ones, your hot date, your squad! This is an all ages events so make sure you join us for this magical evening! No dance experience necessary and family friendly.

All proceeds from this event go towards charities Dancenorth and Ronald McDonald House.

Tully Falls and Tully Gorge

Beaver Reef Dive Site

Beaver Reef is one of the most popular dive sites off Mission Beach with coral gardens, bommies and sloping coral walls in depths to 22 metres. Off the southern side of the reef is a site called Shark Alley.
