3 – 8 March 2018 -

The Australian Dragon Boat Federation is holding its 2018 National Championships on the Sunshine Coast from 3 to 8 March 2018. Paddlers from all over Australia will gather to compete for the honour of being the best Club or State crew in the Nation.

The exciting program will include racing for men, women and mixed teams in both 20’s and 10’s crews plus their drummer and steerer.

Sunday March 4 is programmed for State versus State competition where teams will race each other over 500 metre distances being urged on by the call of the steerers and to the beat of thunderous drumming.

One of the highlights of State versus State day is a 100 metre sprint relay. The first 100 metre is raced up the course by the women crews, when they cross the line the men race back down the course to the finish line. The racing is at blistering pace which makes it the ultimate spectator event.
