Wagtail House aspires to create an informal haven of peace and quiet “Far from the Madding Crowd” where guests can relax, unwind and escape from the stress of the modern world.

The House has two en-suite rooms available each room being furnished with a carved wooden four poster bed fitted with Egyptian cotton sheets for your sleeping pleasure. Each of the en-suites is provided with a claw-foot bath and shower. Why not relax in a hot bath with a glass of wine while you soak away the stress of modern life?

Attached to the house is a small self contained apartment catering for a couple or family with 1 or 2 small children. The apartment is open plan kitchen and bedroom with a separate shower and toilet.

The house is set within 116 acres of mixed pasture and rain-forest containing various bird species such as Victoria’s Rifle Bird, Kookaburras, King Parrots and Rainbow Lorikeets to name but a few. The shy and elusive Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo has been sighted on occasion and Platypus inhabit the properties dam during the rainy season. the farm runs a small herd of cattle and a flock of farmyard fowl including chickens, ducks and turkeys.
