The Lodge blends casual and contemporary design, amongst the most tranquil surrounds with River Treehouses, Deluxe Treehouses, Billabong Suites and the Lodge Suites. All rooms feature wide verandahs with hammocks, spa baths and include gourmet breakfast. The use of river canoes, bikes, yoga classes, guided rainforest walks and complimentary shuttle to Port Douglas are also included in the room rate.

The Healing Waters Spa, with the rejuvenating power of water and the tranquil sounds of the rainforest, offer a fabulous variety of treatments taking you into a state of dreamy peacefulness.

Our Rooms

Billabong Suites

The two Billabong Suites are architecturally re-designed Riverhouses, with open plan lay out including a separate lounge with both rooms opening onto a large balcony overlooking the Mossman River with hammock and day beds.

Billabong Suites are designer decorated throughout and come with a king bed, day bed, table setting, sofa/lounge, flat screen television/dvd, reference library, inclusive mini bar, large en suite bathroom with rainforest shower and double spa bath. Ipod docking stations, oil burners, robes and slippers and turn down service ensure guests receive an ultimate luxury rainforest experience.

Daintree Treehouse

Daintree Treehouses have a contemporary, cosy ambience and luxury en-suite marble bathroom with walk in rain shower. Each room has its own private balcony with lush rainforest views of the Daintree National Park.

Garden Treehouse

Garden rooms have elegant tropical interiors with Rosewood and Silky Oak timber featured throughout. Bathrooms have separate shower and large spa bath. Floor to ceiling windows open out to a private balcony with double hammock providing a perfect way to sit back and relax. Rooms are in close proximity to the main lodge.

River Treehouse

Set in prime riverfront location, spectacular rainforest views and the soothing sounds of the Mossman River are key designer elements of these premium River Treehouses. Generously spacious, with polished timber floors and elegant interiors, room appointments are stylish and comfortable. An oversized spa bath, with uninterrupted rainforest views, is one of the many special inclusions offered in addition to standard room features, which include a daybed. Includes turn down service, oil burner, iPod docking stations as well as a balcony overlooking the Mossman River including a hammock.

Lodge Suites

Their two Lodge Suites offer a spacious and open plan lay out. Designer decorated throughout with a contemporary luxury feel. An extra large balcony overlooks the rainforest with its own outside king size four poster day bed and outside sitting area. Room is 88 square metres including the balcony. These are our 'family' rooms and accommodate up to a maximum of four guests.

Deluxe Treehouse

At Silky Oaks Lodge, guests are accommodated in beautiful timber Deluxe Treehouses. Set into the rainforest and surrounded by lush gardens, each carefully designed to offer privacy and maximum comfort. Treehouses have an understated tropical style with natural tones and timbers used to create a relaxed, soothing living space. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto a wide verandah where a hammock is perfectly positioned to make the most of picturesque views. Air-conditioned, interiors are spacious and attractively furnished with a range of contemporary comforts including a daybed. Large bathrooms, including a spa bath, Compact Disc player, phone, coffee and tea making facilities are among some of the in-room features.

Best known as the Coal Capital of Queensland, Blackwater is home to the Blackwater International Coal Centre where you can learn everything there is to know about coal. With over 20 exhibits and displays, the centre tells the story of the region's coal mining industry - past, present and future.

Marlborough

Marlborough is situated 102 kilometres north of Rockhampton on the Bruce Highway (Highway 1) and is the site of the chrysoprase mine. There is motel and caravan park style accommodation and the Marlborough Historical Museum to visit.

Comet

Comet, Central Highlands Area
Comet is located in the Central Highlands, 39 kilometres east of Emerald on the Capricorn Highway. Comet was established in association with the westward development of the railway line from Rockhampton.

Gracemere

Gracemere is located nine kilometres west of Rockhampton, the Beef Capital of Australia. The town is home to the largest saleyards in the Southern Hemisphere and is the heart of the Capricorn cattle industry.
