The Mary Valley Rail Trail uses part of the former historical Mary Valley branch line and is a shared-use unsealed trail through a remote rural area linking the townships of Imbil and Brooloo. It is 4.7 kilometres in total along the former railway corridor.

This line was used for agriculture, timber and livestock freight, then later for a passenger line on the Mary Valley Rattler as a tourist attraction between Gympie and Imbil after the line to Brooloo closed in the early 1990s.

This is a publicly accessible shared recreational trail between walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
