Tura Charters Great Barrier Reef Fishing, Diving and Exploration tours offer 4 to 14 days fishing, diving or exploration tours to the Swain Reefs, Capricorn Bunker Group areas of the Great Barrier Reef or the Shoal-water bay area with its numerous outlying islands and remote and pristine estuaries and natural harbours.

Tura Charters tours are a unique experience joining their luxury charter vessel "Eastern Voyager" and voyaging to one of these remote and spectacular areas. Eastern Voyager departs from the Gladstone Marina on the central Queensland coast on regular voyages, you can enjoy catching some of the amazing coral reef fish species or dive in some of the most unspoilt and remote areas of the Great Barrier Reef.

Tura Charters has a long history of delivering a quality marine touring experience where you can join a group or organise your own group at the time of the year that suits you best.

Gladstone is serviced by daily flights, coach, rail and road and is one of the busiest ports on the Eastern Seaboard.

Our Tours

Tura Charters MV Eastern Voyager offers the keen angler or explorer the experience and thrill of bottom fishing for Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Cod, Sweet Lip, the excitement of game fishing landing, Wahoo, Mackerel, Tuna and more!! Your catch is filleted and snap frozen ready to take home to the table.

They have five tenders onboard for our guests to utilise (a recreational boat licence is required if you are intending to drive a tender).

Your choices are endless from deep water, reef edge, lure fishing, popping, jigging, spearfishing to snorkelling in some amazing crystal-clear lagoons that these remote areas of the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea have on offer.

The Swain Reefs alone comprises of an area of approximately 6000 square kilometres and has around 1000 separate coral reefs within its boundaries and is approximately 120 nautical miles from the Gladstone Harbour.

Grasstree Beach is one of the most picturesque and beautiful beaches in the Mackay Region, located within a 15 minute drive from Sarina. Nestled in sheltered Zelma Bay, the shallow beach is a popular swimming destination, although it is not patrolled.

Turtle Bommie

Turtles are often encountered on the dive sites off Cairns and a good place to encounter one is Turtle Bommie. This magic dive site is located off Saxon Reef, with the terrain made up of coral gardens and a collection of small and large bommies in depths to 15 metres.

Kangaroo Point
