Pilgrim Sailing offers small personalised lunchtime and twilight sailing cruises around Magnetic Island on a beautiful 58 foot yacht.

Pilgrim is also available for private charter for the day - perfect for family events, team building, weddings or corporate entertaining.

For overnight charters Pilgrim is the ultimate personal experience with only four guests on a large yacht (58 feet) with two full time crew. It is perfect for couples looking for a relaxing holiday, groups of friends wanting to learn to sail or parents wanting to find a way to distract the kids.

Activities on all charters can include sailing, snorkelling, paddle-boarding, exploring, bush-walking, whale-watching (in season). There are two hammocks which can be hung on the foredeck while at anchor in a secluded bay.

Pilgrim Sailing has been in business since 2010 in Sydney and since 2015 has expanded into Queensland for the winter seasons (April to October).

The business is owned and operated by a down to earth couple - Paul and Clare.

Pilgrim, the yacht, is one of a kind, custom built to the highest standards. She is loved by sailors and non sailors alike.

Lunchtime Sailing Cruise

Jump on board for an intimate sail to one of the beautiful Magnetic Island bays for a swim and a barbecue lunch.

The 58-foot yacht, Pilgrim, is perfect for all ages. She is large, stable and very comfortable with plenty of beanbags to relax in. There are two cockpits which are super safe for kids.

Above all, Pilgrim is a beautiful, stylish and classic yacht which will make you feel special the moment you step on board.

They'll sail for around one hour to one of the bays (destination depends on the wind conditions on the day).

Interested in sailing? Paul and Clare, your down-to-earth hosts, are passionate about sailing and love to teach you and get you involved.

Once anchored, explore the beach, go for a swim or just relax before enjoying a delicious barbecue lunch (included in price).

Lunch is made with quality local ingredients and includes premium sausages, homemade salads with fresh bread rolls. Bring your own: wine or beer.

There will be no more than 12 guests to ensure a personal service and space to spread out and relax.

Depart - 11.15am | Return - 2.45pm | Nelly Bay, close to ferries/buses.

Pilgrim, is perfect for all ages. She is large, stable and comfortable with beanbags to relax in and two cockpits, which are super-safe for kids.

The day is tailored to suit - four-hours of sailing, swimming, and lunch, a full day on the water or a sunset cruise with cheese and wine.

Pilgrim's features include a barbecue, shade, beanbags, swim ladder and play-inflatables for the water.

Interested in sailing? Paul and Clare are passionate about sailing and love to teach and get you involved. The kids will love it too!

You can choose a fully-catered charter, or bring your own. Catering options include local seafood, a delicious barbecue and more. Regardless of who provides the food, your hosts will do all the hard work - preparing, cooking and laying it out. All you need to do is eat it!

Pilgrim is a stylish and classic yacht which will make you feel special the moment you step on board. Combine this, with excellent service & hospitality, and you have the makings of a perfect evening.

Enjoy a sail in Cleveland Bay and relax as you soak up the magical views of Magnetic Island and appreciate the peace of sailing!

Paul and Clare, your down-to-earth hosts, are passionate about sailing and love to share it and even give you a try on the wheel if you want!

On board, they serve quality local ingredients from family-run businesses.

There's a selection of wines, from Tamburlaine, Australia’s largest certified organic wine grape producer, who strives to produce the best quality wine from premium wine regions.

On the cheese platter, they serve local Gallo Cheeses, accompanied by "Pilgrim"-made pumpkin chutney.

There will be no more than 12 guests to ensure a personal service and space to spread out and relax.

Thallon

Mungallala

Mungallala, said to mean 'food and water' is the site of a cypress sawmill, located about half way between Mitchell and Morven where the Warrego Highway crosses the Mungallala Creek. Mungallala originated as a railway town and is a wonderful place to stop for lunch and experience the workings of an outback town.

Wallam Creek, Bollon

At the free caravan and camping area there are plenty of shady spaces to park the van for a few days on the edge of the picturesque creak, and an easy 1.

Cheepie

Cheepie is the friendly 'ghost town' of the Outback. The township formed when the railway first came through in 1914 and gradually grew to have a police station, blacksmith, railway station, tent boarding houses, butcher shop, bakery and two vegetable gardens.

Adavale

Once a thriving town and business centre, Adavale's population has dwindled to around 15 today. Changing the planned railway line from Adavale to what is now Quilpie, was the beginning of the end for this pioneering town's prosperity.

The Five Mile Waterhole at Eulo is the perfect spot to throw a line in and catch Yellowbelly, Catfish and Yabbies. The area has good camping and you can bring your pets along too. Not interested in fishing - well don't despair why not take a bit of a bushwalk or do some birdwatching.

Mt Slowcombe Lookout

Mount Slowcombe Lookout is located close to the small town of Yaraka. The panoramic view takes in the nearby Yang Yang ranges and plains and grazing lands of the surrounding country side. This is an ideal place to enjoy the stunning outback sunset or the glorious colours of a sunrise.
