Balance, speed, flexibility, strength, control and finesse are just some of the attributes of elite gymnasts as they strive for perfection. With every routine and attempt in this tense yet graceful competition, Artistic Gymnastics will have spectators at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre spellbound. A glance here and daring athletes are competing on the balance beam. A glance there and amazing feats of strength are performed on the horizontal bar. And that only whets the appetite for all the medal events on offer in this action-packed sport. Both men and women compete on the vault and floor. The uneven bars and balance beam will also test the women. While the men contend with the pommel horse, horizontal bar, rings and parallel bars. Who will be the best on each apparatus? Who will be the best all-round? Which team will have the best combined performances? Those questions add to the excitement for fans at Artistic Gymnastics.
