AOCRA National Marathon Titles 2018

Directly following the 2018 Aussie Aito, the 2018 AOCRA National Marathon Titles are run. This is two days of OC6 ocean marathons racing where Australian clubs fight it out for the prestigious National Titles. The weekend is a must for all outrigger paddlers across Australia. 2014 saw history in the making with a full Adaptive crew racing and taking third place in the OC6 Novice category and a total of 953 entries over the three days. The Sunshine Coast again hosts this premier event that attracts paddlers and spectators to the thrills and spills of ocean outrigger racing.

Laidley

Stop in at the historic tiny town of Murphy's Creek. You can travel there via Toowoomba from the New England Highway or via the Warrego Highway. Today, Murphy's Creek is little more than a general store, coffee shop, and a historic cottage called Jessie's Cottage.

Gatton

Nobby

Nobby is an historic little town in the Darling Downs, located halfway between Toowoomba and Warwick. Nobby is home to Rudd's Pub, dedicated to author Steele Rudd, who found inspiration among his drinking partners for his stories in On Our Selection and is a great place to stop for a meal with the pub walls adorned with an extensive display of historic memorabilia and photographs of the area's pioneering past.

Cabarlah

Cabarlah, Toowoomba Area
Further along the highway is Cabarlah, it's a great spot for a good country pub meal at the Farmers Arms Tavern, one of the longest continually licensed pubs in Queensland. Nearby is the original railway station master’s house which now is home to Colours of San Cris;

Pittsworth Pioneer Historical Village
