It is a great base in which to explore Cooktown local attractions - Must do's include the James Cook Museum, take in the 360 degree views from Grassy Hill, stroll down the main street and see some of the old Historical Buildings, try your luck at catching a fish off the Wharf, and visit the Botanical Gardens. Surrounding area drives out to Archer Point, Black Mountain and numerous waterfalls are all within easy reach. Make it your starting point for your Cape York Adventure.

Historic Cooktown is the Gateway to Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland. An easy three and a half to four hour drive north of Cairns.

These cosy open plan cabins have a double bed and double bunk and are great for the budget conscious traveller. They have large furnished decks, kitchenette, television, and air conditioning. They have Net4 Wireless Internet and car parking in front of these cabins. No shower and toilet, however you are close to the amenities block.

These sites offer power, sullage, water and street lighting close to their unique modern amenities. All 16 bathrooms are unisex and accessible from the exterior of the amenity building.

Silkwood is a short 25 minute drive South from Innisfail The Feast is held annually on the first Sunday in May, to celebrate and Commemorate the lives of three brothers, Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, who were martryed for their Christian beliefs.
