Bedourie Campdraft, Rodeo, Gymkhana

Perched on a sand dune and surrounded by Eyre Creek, soak up all the action and speed of the country’s best horse, bike and bull riders in Bedourie. A township home to 120 locals and is appropriately named to reference a ‘dust storm’, stand ringside with hundreds, who flock to appreciate precision, agility and tight teamwork at it’s very best.

Simpson Desert Ultra

Festival of Outback Opera

Queensland's inaugural Festival of Outback Opera will be co-presented by Opera Queensland and Camerata Queensland's Chamber Orchestra in 2020. A three-day event featuring internationally renowned performers alongside Queensland's leading opera singers accompanied by its premier orchestra.

Paluma Push 2020

Townsville's iconic Mountain Bike event is an individual challenge as well as a great social ride. Riders start in the dreamy Paluma Village following a course that winds its way through lush World Heritage Rainforest, past the Paluma Dam, down into shady big timber and open cattle country and finishes at the historic tin mining settlement of Hidden Valley.

Theodore Bulls 'n' Barrels Bonanza

Theodore’s 2020 Bulls ‘n’ Barrels Bonanza is back bigger and better than ever! For a district that prizes its horses for work and recreation, rodeos are just a normal part of the life. Around for more than 150 years, the origins of the rodeo date back to the drovers’ runs – on stations where wild horses and cattle would be found in the scrub or on the trail, as the teams moved herds over hundreds of miles.

September 4x4 Come and Try Day

Keen to try out your new 4x4 and don't know where to go? Had a 4x4 for years and have run out of new places? Don't have anyone to go with? CT 4x4 Club Come and Try Day allows novice and experienced drivers an area to test their vehicles in a range of terrain including soft sand and rocky outcrops, with the surety of having experienced Four Wheel Drive Queensland members on-hand to assist and guide where required or just for recovery.

Theodore Trail Ride

More than 600 competitors and 1200 spectators gather on a pile of dirt each year for the thrash it or crash it but keep it coming competition – the Theodore Trail Bike Ride. A fundraiser for Theodore State School, the event is now in its eighth year and it just keeps on getting bigger.
