Triathlon Pink is open and available to children aged seven to 14 and ladies of all ages. For those of you who want bring the whole family and have a spunky male who wants to get involved, they also have Fun Run Pink which is for everyone!

Have you always wanted to try a triathlon but have been either too scared or too nervous to join in and have a go? Triathlon Pink is for you! Not only do they swim in the pool (where you can use a pool noodle if you want to), you can ride any kind of (roadworthy) bike and can walk any part of the run (more like a run, walk, chat, run)! On top of all this… they have the best bunch of ladies around and it’s such a fun and inspiring morning out!

With events in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast they are a national series which aims to raise funds and awareness for their charity partner the National Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2017/2018, they hope to take their fundraising past two million dollars – a goal they can only reach with the help of their amazing Pinkie family.

Kynuna

Kynuna was established in the 1860s and in its early days boasted three hotels. It was a staging post for Cobb and Co Coaches. Today Kynuna has just one hotel, the famous Blue Heeler Hotel which was built in 1889.

Almaden

Train buffs take note. The Savannahlander is one of tropical North Queensland's unusual rail journeys. It runs from Cairns to Forsayth overnighting in Almaden. It traces an important railway system that was developed by John Moffat as part of his vast mining empire in the late 1800s.

Betoota stands alone on a vast gibber plain, 170 kilometres east of Birdsville. While Betoota is mainly a ghost town, it comes alive twice a year for the annual Horse and Motorbike Gymkhana and the Betoota Races.
