Livespark and Mixtape

New Farm, Brisbane Area

Weekly from 4 March 2018 -

Free Entry

Breeze into the week with a good dose of free live music on Sunday afternoons.

Join them at Livespark each Sunday for an ever-changing and eclectic mix of indie, pop, folk, alternative country and rock.

Mixtape continues on the last Sunday of every month, offering unique collaborations between singer-songwriters. Three musicians are brought together to discuss the music that drives them and to perform their own mix tape of original songs or covers.

Over the past decade, SUGARRUSH Music has emerged as one of Queensland’s most diverse music companies. Originally solely an independent record label, SUGARRUSH now releases and manages artists, while also promoting shows and rolling out a host of community music programs. Run by Deb Suckling and Craig Spann – both artists themselves – SUGARRUSH has a proud history of supporting artists from across the genre spectrum. And it is that emphasis on diversity that they will be bringing to the Livespark program in 2017 – one of Brisbane’s longest running and most popular free live music platforms.

Brisbane Airport is keeping this free. Mixtape is proudly supported by APRA AMCOS.

There are many different aspects to Fraser Island, but the awe-inspiring beauty of Lake McKenzie makes it probably the most visited natural site on the island. It is a ‘perched’ lake, which means it contains only rainwater, no groundwater, is not fed by streams and does not flow to the ocean.

Lake Wabby

Fraser Island, Fraser Coast Area
Free Entry
Lake Wabby is relatively close to the ocean side of Fraser Island and unlike the other lakes, it supports several varieties of fish. It is known as both a window lake and a barrage lake. Window lakes form when the ground level falls below the water table.
