Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Wrestling

Carrara, Gold Coast Area

12 – 14 April 2018 -

Indicative Rate * AU$10 to AU$40

Two athletes face off in a personal war on a 12m x 12m mat. Eye balling each other, they quickly determine their first move. The whistle blows. It’s match on and any weakness will be exploited. Wrestling is a sport of technique, balance, strength and determination where there can be only one winner. These athletes will use a range of grapples, holds, throws and pins to control the contest and ultimately win. Can they pin their opponent? Can they achieve technical superiority? Can they score enough points to win? The crowd will be absorbed by the tension and technique as these questions are answered right before their eyes. At GC2018, the wrestlers will lock horns at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre with six different weight categories for men and women. Spectators will witness body on body combat until one competitor stands victorious.
