The hotly anticipated 2017-18 Magellan Ashes Series gets off to a sizzling start at the Gabba, with the fierce contest between Australia and England, the electric crowd atmosphere, and the stunning Queensland weather making this a not-to-be-missed event.

Four years since Australia last hosted the Ashes, a fresh faced Australian side led by Steve Smith will be looking to reclaim the Ashes and assert their dominance over England, led by new captain Joe Root.

The history, tradition and passion of the Ashes guarantees not just the explosive action on the field but a truly incredible at-match atmosphere. The world famous Barmy Army will be turning out in force and in full voice, while Aussie fans are set to get behind their team and help fill the stands, making for a colourful, vocal, and fun experience.

Silver City is a great dive site where divers can explore a network of caves, a maze of bommies and a sheer wall of coral. Located on the western side of Osprey Reef, Silver City is often a good place to encounter silvertip sharks, but far more common are the whitetip reef sharks and grey reef sharks.

Southern Small Detached Reef, 80 kilometres North of Lockhart River in Far North Queensland, is a remote but stunning reef. Sitting so far off the coast, the walls of the reef drop to over 100 metres, with the deep waters inviting lots of larger marine life such as turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, pelagic fish and occasional manta rays.
