The Gap, Brisbane Area

Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre features an Information Centre, a Wildlife Centre and a wedding/conference centre and cafe. There is also the opportunity to go swimming or kayaking in Enoggera Reservoir, enjoy a short bushwalk, or go mountain bike riding on the dedicated skills course. The Information Centre provides detailed information on D'Aguilar National Park and also showcases many of South East Queensland's national parks through a virtual lookout platform that provides a spectacular panoramic viewing experience.

The Wildlife Centre showcases some of the incredible biodiversity of Queensland and is home to various reptiles, amphibians, fish and mammals. It features an outdoor walk-through habitat for kangaroos and wallabies and is one of the few wildlife displays exhibiting one of the world's most fascinating mammals-the platypus. The Wildlife Centre is open 9am to 4.30pm, seven days a week, with the exception of Christmas Day and ANZAC Day morning.

Walkabout Creek's Junior Ranger program offers a range of nature-based activities and events every season for families; and a school's program featuring environmental education activities, designed to suit the Australian curriculum.
