Noosa Avalon Farm Cottages has five very individual private country cottages from rustic to country elegance and can sleep one to 23 guests. Great for families, honeymooners, romance, children and pets, and business groups in the real Australian bush. Don't forget your marshmallows to toast around your campfire and enjoy a kaleidoscope of stars.

Close to Lake Cootharaba, Cooroy, Pomona, Eumundi, Fraser Island and Cooloola, Enjoy National Parks, kangaroos, lakes and native animals, butterfly and bird watching, walking and horse riding trails, Eumundi markets, art galleries, museums, Majestic Silent Movie Theatre, antiques, restaurants, fishing and swimming.
They are environmentally friendly since 1986 and do not use poisons on Avalon.

Heritage Cottage is delightful, perfect for secluded kanoodling for those with love and passion in mind. Evening views of the moon and stars are magnificent. Hideaway Cottage

Bottlebrush Cottage

Step back in time to Bottlebrush Cottage, a great rustic mountain cottage. Surrounded by nature and farm animals with beautiful mountain and valley views, it has that idyllic country setting. Rustic outside and very private. Relaxed and cheery interior with a flame effect log heater. A rare find in a modern world, large and roomy, light and romantic. Enjoy your favourite DVDs.

The veranda across the front looks out to Pinbarren Mountain. Don't forget your marshmallows to toast around your campfire and enjoy a kaleidoscope of stars. There is plenty of fire wood to pick up around the paddock, set on 30 private treed acres.

The cottage contains one queen size bed, a double sofa bed, and a small bed suitable for a young child.

Avalon Homestead

Rustic Avalon Homestead is fabulous and big, a great place to kick back on the wide verandas overlooking the surrounding mountains and rolling countryside. Lots of walks, farm animals and native wildlife. Encompassing a myriad beautiful views and golden afternoons. A favourite for country relaxation with natural Kauri pine walls, leadlight picture windows, flame effect log heater and a camp fire out the front. With five metre cathedral ceilings, featuring three bedrooms with three queen beds (sleeps one to six people). A great place to share with family and friends.

Wilson River

The Wilson River Fishing Hole is situated within one kilometre of the historic Noccundra Hotel. All facilities are available at the hotel, however, you can camp along the river - for a simple gold coin donation to the Royal Flying Doctors Service at the Noccundra Hotel.

Hebel

In the little town of Hebel it feels like time has stood still, leaving behind tales of the Ned Kelly gang, Cobb & Co and dance halls. Hebel Hotel is a gem of a country pub. Colourful artwork by John Murray adorns the front of the pub, with the interior decked out in recycled furniture made from reclaimed bush finds.

Bulloo River

Currawinya National Park

In Currawinya National Park, waterbirds and migratory shorebirds are drawn in their thousands to globally important wetlands in the otherwise dry and dusty mulga lands of south-western Queensland. Red sandplains and mulga scrubs beside long, dusty roads give little hint to the lakes, rivers and wetlands that make Currawinya one of Australia’s most important inland waterbird habitats.

Cooladdi

On your way to the Quilpie opal fields stop a while in Cooladdi, one of Australia's smallest towns. Cooladdi was once a thriving railway town, but when the rail connection closed the residents slowly drifted away.

Cheepie

Cheepie is the friendly 'ghost town' of the Outback. The township formed when the railway first came through in 1914 and gradually grew to have a police station, blacksmith, railway station, tent boarding houses, butcher shop, bakery and two vegetable gardens.

Adavale

Once a thriving town and business centre, Adavale's population has dwindled to around 15 today. Changing the planned railway line from Adavale to what is now Quilpie, was the beginning of the end for this pioneering town's prosperity.

Eulo

The “Montville of the Outback”, Eulo is a small community with a large pride which is evident when you visit. Famous not only for the infamous “Eulo Queen” and the hotel named after her but also for the abundant local produce and product as well as opal and craft which can all be purchased in the town.
