The Studio is an old farm building, renovated, to include the necessities of life whilst retaining
simple charm and character. It is nestled into 120 acres of "once-upon-a-time" dairy, and is now a working farm with sheep and cattle. Ideal for couples, it consists of a small kitchen, ensuite, living space, pot belly stove, and two porches, one of which has a WeberQ.

Wander amongst the vines and olive trees, or simply 'chill out' and put your feet up with a longed-for good read. There is an abundance of flora and fauna to enjoy and space to do exactly what you want. Perhaps enjoy a swim, picnic, or a stroll down to the dam.

Experience the quiet, the stars, shade under the porch or take in the ambience whilst sipping a chilled white, or robust red in the rustic " Old Machinery Shed" Cellar Door nearby. The Cellar Door is open every Sunday between 10am and 4pm for tastings.

The Studio is a little over two hours drive from Brisbane.

The Studio

The Studio is an old farm building which has been renovated to include the necessities of life, whilst retaining it's simple charm, comforts and character. Ideal for couples, it consists of a queen-sized bed, an ensuite with shower over a bath, leather lounge in the living space including a log burning fireplace, a television/DVD , small equipped kitchen, and two porches, one of which has a barbecue.

Callide Dam

Callide Dam is located 12 kilometres from Biloela via sealed road and approximately 90 kilometres south-west of Gladstone via the Dawson Highway. While compact, the lake provides visitors with rewarding fishing - especially for golden perch (yellowbelly) and barramundi.

Today, Biloela is a busy commercial and tourist hub, though it still retains that relaxed, country feeling. Along with Queensland Heritage Park, a Regional Art Gallery, the Spirit of the Land Mural and the Heritage Listed Greycliffe Homestead, the town stages an impressive annual program of festivals and events.

Jambin

Jambin, Banana Area
A rural hub with a pub to service weary travellers, Jambin is on the Burnett Highway just south of Smoky Creek. Part of the Callide Valley, the town is wedged between the Callide Creek to the west and the highway to the east, making it a picturesque spot to stop.

Goovigen

Goovigen, Banana Area
Goovigen is a small rural village in the region’s northern farming heartland. A short distance north-west of Jambin off the Burnett Highway, fewer than 300 people live in the town. The streets of Goovigen are as neat as a pin and the heritage buildings have been either restored to their former glory or updated for present needs.

Thangool

More than 130 years in the making, Thangool first opened to settlers, who tried it as a sheep run in the 1850s. Soon to fail, beef cattle were introduced and later, dairy and cotton took hold. Based on the success of these industries, a make-shift town sprang up.

Mount Morgan

Mount Morgan is an historical mining town nestled on the Dee River a short 38 kilometre drive from Rockhampton. The town is rich in nineteenth century Queensland colonial history and has artefacts and relics from the gold rush days that visitors can experience.

150th Meridian

Located one kilometre east of Moura on the Dawson Highway, the 150th Meridian marker shows the position of the imaginary line (150 °E) on which Queensland (Eastern Standard) time is based. At the time of the equinox, a day is exactly 12 hours long anywhere on the Meridian line.

Wowan

Wowan, Banana Area
In its heyday, Wowan was the dairy capital of the region. With more than 600 farmers on the job, the Dawson Valley Dairy Cooperative was topped up daily with fresh supplies of full cream milk, ready to ship off to towns and cities as far away as England.

Baralaba

Baralaba, Banana Area
Old fashioned values and friendly townsfolk are the hallmarks of Baralaba. Those traits and a stubborn streak for sticking around. More than a century of economic upheaval has threatened the town on many an occasion, but Baralaba locals are a stoic lot.
