Peddells Thursday Island Tours - "Linking the Cape to the Torres Strait".

Established in 1980, Peddells is an award winning, local family owned and operated business offering a year round scheduled passenger ferry service from Seisia (Cape York) to Thursday Island in Torres Strait. Sail the beautiful waters in comfort onboard Peddells MV Torres Magic, the 20 metre 120 passenger catamaran, and marvel at the natural beauty of the Torres Strait.

Tours: Discover an Island rich in history and culture in the comfort of air-conditioned coaches. This tour visits Green Hill Fortress with its sweeping harbour views, underground military and maritime museum and the Pearlshell Divers Memorial (cemetery). Peddells professional local tour guides will delight you with knowledgeable and entertaining narratives.

Peddells are also agents for Horn Island World War II. Tours must be booked minimum one day in advance and are pending availability.

Our services

The duration of the scenic tour is approximately one and a half hour and includes the Torres Strait Museum.

Tijou Reef is located at the southern end of the Far Northern Reefs, so is often the first or last dive site explored on an expedition to this remote area. The sheltered western side of Tijou Reef is dotted with coral bommies and coral gardens that offer wonderful diving in depths to 30 metres.
