The Mission Beach Monster market is a local community market run by Rotary Mission Beach. Traditionally this market starts on Easter Sunday and then on the last Sunday of each month up to and including November.

The Market runs from 7am until 12.30pm and is located at Marcs Park, Cassowary Drive, Mission Beach. With over 120 stall sites at this market there is a fantastic range of goods on display.

Stall-holders come from a wide area around the area including Townsville and Cairns and the Tablelands, selling a great variety of products, including farm produce, lots of different foods, fruits and vegies, crafts of all description, clothing, jewellery, plants, kick-knacks, second hand goods and more - something for everyone.

Just south of Stanthorpe, the Granite Belt village of Severnlea is a centre for commercial fruit production and also topaz fossicking. Venture down the various byways to discover fruit stalls stocking seasonal stone fruits and berries from November to March.

Glenlyon Dam

Glenlyon Dam is ideal for wildlife viewing and many water sports including skiing, sailing and fishing. Fish species in the dam include Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Silver Perch, Jew and Spangled Perch. Camping sites, cabins and caravans are available at the Glenlyon Dam Tourist Park located at the waters edge.

Glen Aplin

The Granite Belt town of Glen Aplin, south of Stanthorpe on the New England Highway, is famous for its fruit orchards and wineries. If you are in the area in the right season you will be able to savour the taste of fresh stone-fruits (November to March) and berries (November to early March).
