The curtain will draw on the XXI Commonwealth Games on 15 April but not before one final celebration in true Gold Coast style. Eleven days after a spectacular opening, the Closing Ceremony will deliver a fitting tribute to the remarkable athletic feats, extraordinary teamwork and marvellous community participation on show throughout the Games. Carrara Stadium will host the Closing Ceremony with an emotional, fun and dazzling finale. As the baton is passed to the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Gold Coast will say its goodbyes and show the world that it knows a thing or two about throwing a great party. This is your ticket to party with the Commonwealth.

Southern Small Detached Reef Dive Site

Southern Small Detached Reef, 80 kilometres North of Lockhart River in Far North Queensland, is a remote but stunning reef. Sitting so far off the coast, the walls of the reef drop to over 100 metres, with the deep waters inviting lots of larger marine life such as turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, pelagic fish and occasional manta rays.

Tijou Reef Dive Site

Port Douglas, Douglas Area
Tijou Reef is located at the southern end of the Far Northern Reefs, so is often the first or last dive site explored on an expedition to this remote area. The sheltered western side of Tijou Reef is dotted with coral bommies and coral gardens that offer wonderful diving in depths to 30 metres.

North Horn Dive Site

Cairns, Cairns Area
The most legendary dive site at Osprey Reef is the amazing North Horn. Located at the northern tip of the reef, this site features a sloping coral shelf in depths from 12 metres to 40 metres, and walls dropping into one kilometre.

Silver City Dive Site

Cairns, Cairns Area
Silver City is a great dive site where divers can explore a network of caves, a maze of bommies and a sheer wall of coral. Located on the western side of Osprey Reef, Silver City is often a good place to encounter silvertip sharks, but far more common are the whitetip reef sharks and grey reef sharks.

Located off Port Douglas on the Great Barrier Reef is Tijou Reef, home to many different dive sites, particularly the coral gardens on the inner side and wonderful wall dives on its outer eastern side.
