Working dog kennel providing one hour sit down public shows of law enforcement training and demonstrations including protection, detection, agility and obedience.

Not just for Dog Lovers, Lawdogs Australia is Australia's first privately owned specialist dog training kennel that is open to the public to see puppies and adult dogs going through their law enforcement training.

Visitors can get up close and personal while seated behind a safety fence and be captivated as they see the dogs barking on command, developing their bite skills, training for future arrest scenarios, controlling suspects, finding hidden packages and working around agility equipment.

See the dogs, hear their stories, share the training journey....It's an hour of education, excitement and entertainment you will never forget !!

Also home to the Truffle Discovery Centre Stanthorpe 'where truffles are found all year round' with Truffiere tours and tastings.

Glen Aplin

The Granite Belt village of The Summit, located off the New England Highway between Dalveen and Applethorpe (to the north of Stanthorpe) is so called due to its elevated position at more than 900 metres above sea level.

Glenlyon Dam

Glenlyon Dam is ideal for wildlife viewing and many water sports including skiing, sailing and fishing. Fish species in the dam include Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Silver Perch, Jew and Spangled Perch. Camping sites, cabins and caravans are available at the Glenlyon Dam Tourist Park located at the waters edge.

Stanthorpe

The original bushranger hideout for 'Thunderbolt' who roamed the New England Tableland. Donnelly's Castle is a granite rock formation that you can walk between, around and over! The massive boulders are just as spectacular as some of the rock formations in Girraween National Park, and is far more accessible for young adventurers.
