For entertainment of the theatrical or musical kind in Ipswich, the Ipswich Civic Centre has got a year-round program to please all tastes. The entertainment venue in the city’s heart has seen many great shows grace its stage – from Mary Poppins to the Imperial Russian Ballet, to country music stars Adam Brand and Beccy Cole, and even kids’ superstars, The Wiggles.
Ipswich Civic Centre provides light refreshments and main meals courtesy of Stars Café Bar for selected shows. It has ramp access entrances and an in-house lift to assist patrons of any mobility, and you can buy specially allocated wheelchair tickets. It’s also equipped with a hearing loop system and offers a reduced ticket price for registered carers who need to attend a show with a client or family member.

Silver City Dive Site

Silver City is a great dive site where divers can explore a network of caves, a maze of bommies and a sheer wall of coral. Located on the western side of Osprey Reef, Silver City is often a good place to encounter silvertip sharks, but far more common are the whitetip reef sharks and grey reef sharks.

North Horn Dive Site

The most legendary dive site at Osprey Reef is the amazing North Horn. Located at the northern tip of the reef, this site features a sloping coral shelf in depths from 12 metres to 40 metres, and walls dropping into one kilometre.

Located off Port Douglas on the Great Barrier Reef is Tijou Reef, home to many different dive sites, particularly the coral gardens on the inner side and wonderful wall dives on its outer eastern side.

Tijou Reef Dive Site

Tijou Reef is located at the southern end of the Far Northern Reefs, so is often the first or last dive site explored on an expedition to this remote area. The sheltered western side of Tijou Reef is dotted with coral bommies and coral gardens that offer wonderful diving in depths to 30 metres.

Southern Small Detached Reef, 80 kilometres North of Lockhart River in Far North Queensland, is a remote but stunning reef. Sitting so far off the coast, the walls of the reef drop to over 100 metres, with the deep waters inviting lots of larger marine life such as turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, pelagic fish and occasional manta rays.
