Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) has taken off in a huge way, and no wonder, it's awesome. If you have tried surfing then this will be next on your bucket list.

Watersports Guru offer basic beginner lessons on a flat water creek or river through to more advanced lessons where they teach you how to surf in the ocean.

All lessons work around the following basic fundamentals: the effects of tide, wind and waves; safety and etiquette; types of equipment; carrying your equipment; paddling techniques; turning techniques; best balance positioning on the board; stand up technique.

All SUP equipment supplied (board, paddle).

Stand Up Paddle Board hire also available.

A 15 minute boat ride will have you cruising past some of the most beautiful beaches Australia has to offer and you may well even encounter a pod of dolphins along the way.

Cook Island is famous for its large population of green turtles, and the clown fish are always happy to pose for a photo.

Once at Cook Island you will enjoy a mix of colourful hard and soft corals, tropical fish and Nemo! And don't forget the turtles!

Whether you're snorkeling by yourself or with the family, Watersports Guru would love to share with you an experience of a lifetime. This is one for the bucket list!

Explore the beautiful waterways of the Cudgen Creek as you take a relaxing 90 minute tour through this pristine National Park and explore its unique flora and fauna. An experienced Kayak instructor will be with you every stroke of the way to show you their favourite spots along the creek including the Osprey nest. A sunset tour for the romantics out there.

Watersports Guru cater for individuals, couples, families, large groups and they love beginners. So why not join a tour and have some fun whilst exploring beautiful Cudgen Creek.

Tours run daily. Pick-ups are available. Participants are encouraged to have certain degree of health and fitness. Children welcome (life jackets available).

The Junior Adventure Gurus program is a 90 minute program is aimed at children seven to 12 years of age and sees them engaging in a number of water and land based activities with focus on water safety, new skills and lots of fun. Stand up paddle, fishing, snorkelling, creek exploration, problem solving challenges, kayaking, nature craft and so much more.

Learn to Surf

Watersports Guru love teaching people to surf, it's their passion, but as well they feel that it is their duty to educate people about the ocean, environment and water safety. When you take a lesson with Watersports Guru, you will learn about the proper technique of standing up and getting into waves as well how to use your equipment. Whatever your age or experience level, Watersports Guru will teach you to surf with some of the best instructors in the business.

Private and group lessons are offered as well as children's summer camps (September to January). Advanced coaching is available for competitive or non competitive surfers.

These majestic creatures of the blue make their yearly migration from July to November gracing everyone with their presence while they jump, splash and spray about the ocean. Sometimes you have to wonder who is actually watching who as curious whales get within touching distance of the boat as they stare up at you with that huge eye and sometimes even spray you with their spout.

Nestled at the foot of Mount Cooroora, Pomona is a relaxed country town with some pleasant easy walking tracks around delightful parks. Pomona was first settled in the late 1880s and the railway that arrived in 1891 started the expansion of the agricultural industries.

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve comprises 55 hectares of National Estate listed subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the Reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life which promises to delight with its tranquility and beauty.

Forest Glen

Forest Glen, Sunshine Coast Area
Whilst at Forest Glen be sure to take a drive through Tanawha Tourist Drive, where you will find great attractions and wonderful scenery. Meander through Buderim Forest Park with its beautiful rainforest, barbecue picnic facilities, forest boardwalk, and unique flora and fauna.

Woombye

Woombye, Sunshine Coast Area
Woombye used to be called Cobb’s Camp due to the fact that it was a staging post for the Cobb & Co coaches. The local pub celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000, and is certainly worth a visit. Woombye is home to luscious sub-tropical fruits, and the popular Macadamia nut.

Yandina

This is the famous 'Ginger Town' of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, which boasts some of the most beautiful country in Queensland. Yandina lies just to the north of Nambour, the centrally-located retail and service town for the central Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Witta

Witta, Sunshine Coast Area
Fresh air, peace and tranquillity. That's what is on offer in the small hamlet of Witta. Witta, once known as Teutoburgh in the 1880s, was first settled by German immigrants. The name Teutoburgh came from a nearby German mission.

Cooran

Cooran, Noosa Area
About three kilometres from the Bruce Highway, Cooran is one of those country towns that offers more than you might think. Close to the Sunshine Coast towns of Pomona, Nambour, Cooroy and popular surfing beaches at Noosa, Cooran is a pretty hamlet in a lush valley.

Set in the heart of an arts and craft hub which typifies Queensland’s Sunshine Coast hinterland, the small rural town of Palmwoods is at the crossroads of the region’s tourist network. Set in a mosaic of avocado, custard apples and pawpaw orchards, orange groves, and banana plantations, Palmwoods is only a few kilometres south of Nambour.
