The Bundaberg Region offers so many options to learn about the local flora and fauna. This journey takes in the Moore Park Beach water birds, feed the birdlife at the Botanic Gardens, head to Baldwin Swamp to meander the tracks that wind through the forest taking you down close to the lakes. Lastly, make your way to Mon Repos beach - if you are visiting during summer no visit is complete with a turtle encounter at the Mon Repos Conservation Park.

Moore Park Beach - Water Birds

Just a couple of minutes drive from the beach, you will find the Moore Park Beach lagoon. This quiet oasis is a nesting ground for birds such as the Great Egret, Plumed Whistling duck, Black-winged stilt, Royal Spoonbill and the Australasian Grebe.

Bundaberg Botanic Gardens

There is something for everyone at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. Situated in North Bundaberg on Mount Perry Road, the gardens span 27 hectares of land and feature a magnificent lake which is home to 114 species of birds. The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens are a picturesque location for birdwatching and taking photos.
