The Mackay Scottish Bluewater Fling

Pipe bands from around Queensland join the Mackay and District Pipe Band's celebration of Scottish music, song and dance. The free outdoor event starts at 3pm on Saturday 31 August. Pipers and drummers from six pipe bands will march across the Forgan Bridge into the Bluewater Quay where the entertainment will continue until 6 pm.

Oceania Masters Athletics Championships 2019

These championships are held every two years and Athletics Masters Members from the Oceania Federation Countries are invited to participate. The track and field events at the 2019 host city of Mackay, Queensland, will be on a newly completed athletics facility opening February 2019.
