Queen's Baton Relay - Ipswich Community Celebrations

The Queen’s Baton will reach Ipswich on Thursday, 29 March after traversing communities across Australia as part of the longest Commonwealth Games relay in history.

At the Baton’s final destination in Ipswich, Limestone Park, enjoy an event showcasing some of the city’s great sporting achievements and the past, present and future cultural and sporting heroes of Ipswich.

With entertainment from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, a selection of exciting cultural and sporting performances will take the stage. The region’s best food trucks will offer a variety of delicious foods in the tantalising outdoor village dining area. At 7.00 pm, an outdoor movie will be screened at the amphitheatre.

The event will be a unique celebration for the city and visitors to enjoy and is one not to be missed.

Location: Limestone Park, Ipswich (behind PCYC)
Parking: please note that Griffiths Road will be closed for a short time, but parking is available around Limestone Park.
