Kids and Parenting Fair

Unified Events is proud to bring the families and soon-to-be families of the Gold Coast the Kids and Parenting Fair, at the brand-new Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre. With lots to see and do, the two-day event will be packed with over 100 exhibitors and exciting activities, workshops and classes for the parents and loads of entertainment for the kids including stage performances, a magician and jumping castle.

Being a parent is one of the most precious gifts we can have; the nine-month journey of pregnancy and the first year of your child’s life is filled with exciting experiences and daunting challenges that turn into a lifetime of even more trials, lessons learnt and irreplaceable moments. The Kids and Parenting Fair provides knowledge-hungry parents the opportunity to engage with professionals for indispensable advice and workshops. Parents can join engaging seminars and hands-on classes held by expert educators, physicians, and renowned brands all under one roof, delivering the tools and education families need to face the challenges of a growing household head on.

Tickets are available at the door or can be pre-purchased online to avoid the ticketing queue.

RMS Quetta

One of Queensland’s most spectacular and least dived shipwrecks is the RMS Quetta. In 1890 the RMS Quetta, 120 metre passenger and cargo ship, was on a voyage from Brisbane to London when the vessel hit an uncharted rock north of Cape York.

North Horn Dive Site

Cairns, Cairns Area
The most legendary dive site at Osprey Reef is the amazing North Horn. Located at the northern tip of the reef, this site features a sloping coral shelf in depths from 12 metres to 40 metres, and walls dropping into one kilometre.

Weipa

Weipa is a mining town built by Comalco to house its employees and their families, government workers and support people for its Bauxite and Kaolin operations. Weipa has the largest Bauxite deposit in the world.

Raine Island

Hosting the largest green turtle rookery in the world, Raine Island is an excellent dive site to encounter dozens of turtles. Located off Cape York in the Far Northern Reefs, Raine Island is a very special dive site that is only visited on a long range liveaboard dive boat.

Rugged yet beautiful, Cape Melville National Park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land) features the rocky headlands of Cape Melville, impressive granite boulders of the Melville Range, sandy beaches of Bathurst Bay, sandstone escarpments and inland dunes.

Coen

Coen, Cook Area
There's plenty of life in the old mining community of Coen. Originally the town was created around a repeater station in the Overland Telegraph Line to the Tip of Cape York Peninsula. Camp on the town's outskirts in a bush camping ground at The Bend on Coen river - you'll appreciate the beauty of access to a toilet facility if you have been going rough.

Southern Small Detached Reef Dive Site

Southern Small Detached Reef, 80 kilometres North of Lockhart River in Far North Queensland, is a remote but stunning reef. Sitting so far off the coast, the walls of the reef drop to over 100 metres, with the deep waters inviting lots of larger marine life such as turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, pelagic fish and occasional manta rays.
