Be delighted in the sights as the Tully River plunges down the Cardwell Range, carving a swathe in the lush, world heritage rainforest on its way to the coast.
You can explore both ends of the park from a variety of locations. Up in the hills, the Tully Gorge lookout has great views of the deep gorge, and the River walk leads to the river above the falls (and below the dam wall).
On the coast near Tully, set up camp in of the two camping areas and explore the surrounding area. Tackle the challenging track to the 678m summit of Mount Tyson for amazing views along the coast, or take a leisurely stroll along the Butterfly walk (best between September and February). Relax and enjoy a picnic at Alligators Nest and Tully Gorge day-use areas, and throw a line in the river to try your luck.
