Come and live the real outback life. Myella is a working cattle farm situated 1.5 hours from Rockhampton.

They offer friendly and clean accommodation. The rooms have air-conditioning, fan and most have a refrigerator and feature a painting from a local artist. The beds are comfortable and all linen is provided. Standard rooms have shared bathrooms, there are some ensuite rooms available. One bathroom on the farm has wheelchair access. Powered or unpowered campsites are available.

There is a television, laundry, swimming pool, a large lawn area, and the dining hut is made from Myella farm timber.

Great home cooked meals are available. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Tours are available (additional cost) or book an all inclusive package. Try horse riding, motorbike lessons, cow milking, whip cracking, lasso, feed cows, horses and chickens.

See the wild kangaroos, go on a bush walk or just take in the breathtaking country scenery. Become one of the family and enjoy great country home cooked food. Transfers available or enquire for their self drive packages.

Ensuite Rooms

Myella Farm Stay has a range of ensuite (private bathroom) rooms for single, twin and double accommodation.

Family Ensuite Room

Myella Farm Stay has a range of family rooms depending on your needs.

Family Rooms have a private bathroom, double bed, and two single beds, sleeping up to four guests.

All rooms are air-conditioned.

Shared Bathroom Rooms

Rooms with shared bathrooms are available for single, double, twin and triple accommodation options.

Rooms have a fridge, fan and are air-conditioned.

Ken's Cottage

Ken's Cottage is a two bedroom cottage, with each bedroom containing a double bed and two single beds. There is a central adjoining bathroom with two showers and two toilets.

There are five steps onto the veranda which has a bar fridge. Ken's Cottage building was moved from Baralaba in 1998, and was built with timber from local sawmill in the 1960's by the man who established the sawmill.

Torenbeek Place is a three bedroom cottage containing 10 beds, six of which are bunk beds. The cottage has two showers and two toilets, one fridge, and a television. There is a central living area and a large shady veranda.

Torenbeek Place is the original home, moved in pieces to this farm in 1937 by the Torenbeek family who raised a family of five children until 1962.

Mount Fox

Just 5.6 kilometres from the trailhead, at the junction of Kamoloo Creek, a signposted access track leaves the main walking trail upstream of crossing number 10, providing a gentle climb to the escarpment base where the site is located.
