Explore Mavis's beautiful farmland with spectacular views of Wollumbin-Mount Warning and lush rainforest and make this your base from which to explore the surrounding villages and hinterland. Go fishing in the Tweed River and swim in crystal clear creeks. Climb to the summit of the magnificent Wollumbin-Mount Warning and be the first in Australia to greet the sunrise.

And of course, treat your tastebuds to a meal in the iconic Mavis's Kitchen restaurant, where the seasonal menu based on local, organic ingredients is sure to impress and delight.

Our Rooms

The Log Cabin

You want intimate, funky and a little bit private...this is the place for you and the one you love.

There's a studio bedroom, self-contained kitchen, eco-friendly bathroom, a porch that grabs the sun.

It's tucked away at the rear of the property, but close enough to wander down to the restaurant if you feel like socialising.

They created this space with romance in mind and it seems to have done the trick!

There's also a sofa bed, so the Log Cabin can sleep up to four people.

Your four legged friends are welcome too.

The Old Dairy

One look inside will tell you they've breathed new life into the Old Dairy.

It's the perfect space for a couple but it can sleep up to six as it also has two sofa beds.

It's light and spacious...guests rave about the stone-walled skylight bathroom...there's a fully equipped kitchen and a roomy lounge with doors that lead to a lovely sunny private patio.

Order a breakfast hamper to keep you going until lunch at Mavis's...and then you'll be happy 'till the cows come home!

The Farmhouse

When you want to share your time and space with the ones you love...or just give yourself some extra space to relax, this is the place for you.

The Farmhouse has it all...a king size main bedroom, an entertainment centre, gourmet kitchen, and a huge deck.

And, there's heating and cooling so it's great any time of the year.

You can bring your own supplies and settle in for a good time.

Dysart

Dysart is a relative young town, constructed as a service town for the nearby Norwich Park coal mine. Today it still services many nearby mines, including Lake Vermont, Saraji and Peak Downs. A number of mining camps exist within the town.

Located at Mackay's Northern Beaches, Black's Beach is Mackay's longest continuous beach, approximately six kilometres in length. It is a 15 minute drive from Mackay's city centre. Head north on the Bruce Highway and turn right onto the Mackay Bucasia Road, following the Black's Beach signage.

Kuttabul

Kuttabul is a character-filled rural town, approximately 33 kilometres north-west of Mackay on the Bruce Highway. The Kuttabul Hotel is the heart of the area, hosting a vast array of entertainment throughout the year, as well as providing warm rural service.

Wycarbah

Without its main attraction, Wycarbah, to the south-west of Rockhampton, would be bypassed by most. This little town is located about 25 minute drive from Gracemere. However, as a result of an ancient lava flow, a great collection of rather ordinary looking rocks (on the outside) have congregated at a place nearby called Mt Hay.
