Eurong Beach Resort, located north of the Sunshine Coast, offers easy access to Fraser Island's famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach, its lakes and rainforests. This makes it the perfect base from which to explore the island. Eurong Beach Resort is set amid hectares of lawns and gardens on the front of Seventy-Five Mile Beach.

The modern restaurant and bar overlook a large free-form swimming pool. A casual Beach Bar adjoins a second pool and has nightly entertainment. Barbecues, tennis, joy flights, four wheel drive hire and conducted four wheel drive tours and bush walks are all on offer. A bakery supplies pizza, hot bread, casual snacks and coffee. A well-stocked store supplies groceries, meat, vegetables, souvenirs, resort wear, camping equipment, fishing gear, ice, fuel and gas.

There is accommodation to suit all budgets from self-contained apartments to backpacker beds. Access is easy with vehicle barges operating daily from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay, to Wanggoolba Creek. From the Sunshine Coast via Rainbow Beach, the barge is on demand between Inskip Point and Hook Point between 6am and 5.30pm and barge bookings are not required.

Resort Hotel Room

At Eurong, their beach-style accommodation is designed to suit all budgets. They offer million dollar views in World Heritage-wilderness and a casual atmosphere that keeps their regulars coming back year after year. Their spacious self-contained hotel units have double or twin beds with private verandah or patio.

Two Bedroom Apartment

Their generously-sized, self-contained, two-bedroom apartments accommodate up to four people on Fraser Island's best beach front address. Bedding configuration is one queen and two singles. All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a large private veranda.

Superior Hotel Room

Location, location, location... million dollar views, pristine World Heritage-listed National Park and generously-sized, beach-style accommodation... and it's all right there at Eurong Beach Resort. The park features caves and sinkholes that were formed when water percolated through 500 million year-old layers of soluble dolomite creating caverns linked by vertical shafts up to 75 metres deep.

Kajabbi

McKinlay

Located 104 kilometres south east of Cloncurry, McKinlay was named after the McKinlay River which was discovered and named by the explorer John McKinlay. McKinlay had arrived in New South Wales in 1836 and by 1861 had become such an adept bushman that he was chosen to lead the South Australian Burke Relief Expedition to search for the missing Burke and Wills.
