Colonial Tweed Holiday and Home Park is a small, boutique park providing friendly personal service. The park is well located, with excellent accommodation and facilities at very competitive rates.

The Colonial Tweed is located on the southern bank of the Tweed River, just a few minutes drive from Coolangatta beach and the Tweed Heads shopping centres.

The river provides a wonderful opportunity to participate in any water sport; fishing, kayaking, sailing, swimming or simply enjoying a stroll along the walkways on the southern bank of this magnificent waterway.

The Colonial Tweed is located well away from highway noise, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful break from your busy lifestyle.

Our Rooms

A separate main bedroom with double bed plus two bunks in lounge area. Full kitchen facilities and private bathroom and toilet. Linen supplied for main bedroom. Linen hire available for bunks or bring your own.

Studio Cabins are five berth with an open style floor plan. Features: kitchenette with small breakfast bar for two. Linen is provided to main bed only. Linen packs are available for bunk beds.

Powered sites with concrete slabs for your annex. Close to amenities and conveniently located to dump site.

Three large powered grass en suite sites that are suitable for tents, caravans, pop top vans, camper trailers, mobile homes and fifth wheelers.

Two are situation towards the back of the park which ensure they are private and quite, which you will enjoy while on holiday. One is right at the front of the park overlooking the beautiful Tweed River.

Minimum two nights stay is required on these sites.

The van has a double bed with kitchen facilities and use of park amenities.

Four berth unit with separate master bedroom. Veranda overlooks river. Features include: en suite, television, clock radio, fans and heater. Well equipped kitchen with refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, electric frypan, jug and toaster. Fully screened. Linen supplied to main bedroom. Linen hire available for berth beds.

The three bedroom Villa is situated near the swimming pool, and has a double carpark at the front of the Villa. Two bedrooms have queen beds with linen, while the third bedroom has two single beds without linen.

A minimum two night stay is required to book the Villa.

Sundown National Park

Visit a bushranger hideout! 'Thunderbolt' who roamed the New England Tableland, had one of his hideouts near Pozieres. Donnelly's Castle, as it is now called, is a rock formation that you can walk between, around and over.

Storm King Dam

Storm King Dam rests in a picturesque rural setting with many water birds (including pelicans) and is an ideal spot for picnics, water sport and fishing. Fish species include golden perch, murray cod, silver perch, jew and river black fish.

Quart Pot Creek, Stanthorpe

The pretty Quart Pot Creek meanders through granite country and natural bushland, passes through the town of Stanthorpe, and continues out through the south-west, where it meets Spring Creek to form the Severn River.

Glenlyon Dam

Glenlyon Dam is ideal for wildlife viewing and many water sports including skiing, sailing and fishing. Fish species in the dam include Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Silver Perch, Jew and Spangled Perch. Camping sites, cabins and caravans are available at the Glenlyon Dam Tourist Park located at the waters edge.

Stanthorpe

Amiens

Amiens, Southern Downs Area
Amiens is one of the pretty districts in the Granite Belt region, 17 kilometres north-west of Stanthorpe. These days the area is popular for orcharding, wine making and vegetable growing and was first settled by First World War servicemen who had been granted land for fruit growing after returning from war.

Pozieres

Pozieres, Southern Downs Area
The Granite Belt locality of Pozieres is situated about five kilometres west of the New England Highway, with the turn-off to the south of Dalveen. It is a productive fruit and vegetable growing area and also offers easy access to recreation areas such as Donnelly's Castle, Pozieres State Forest and Passchendaele State Forest.

Severnlea

The Southern Downs village of Severnlea, on the highway south of Stanthorpe hasn't changed that much since it was first settled. There is still fruit growing and topaz fossicking, but these days you'll also discover some very good wineries.
