Cardwell is a historic seaside town (152 years old) on the Bruce Highway half-way between Cairns and Townsville. It is famous for fishing, relaxed lifestyle and gateway to the Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island. In 2011, Cyclone Yasi devastated the town, but after a 30 million dollar makeover, Cardwell now boasts a 4.5 kilometre informative waterfront walkway, new playgrounds, and a outdoor community amphitheatre - all with a view to Hinchinbrook and nearby islands that stops traffic!

The friendly Cardwell Beachfront Motel oozes character, with one strict rule: "if you want something, please ask". The rates are very competitive, and all of the motel rooms and apartments have been recently renovated. Our Rooms

Motel Room - Queen Bed

The Motel Room has tea, coffee and toaster, separate bathroom, air-conditioning, fridge, television, and security screens with ocean views from verandah.

Self-Contained Apartment

Most of these larger rooms have a queen and a single bed (one has a queen bed and set of bunks). They have a separate bathroom, cooking facilities (electric frypan, microwave and toaster) and full set of crockery and cutlery. All are air-conditioned with ceiling fans; have security screens on the door and window; large television and DVD, plus outside seating with ocean views.
