Down Under Cruise and Dive operate Australia's most luxurious reef vessel Evolution (a large, modern award-winning catamaran) cruising at high speed, providing a superior and comfortable ride in nearly all weather conditions. Professional, friendly and attentive staff ensure a safe and enjoyable, fun-filled experience. The two outer reef locations have been carefully selected for the clarity of the water and the abundance and diversity of marine life. Every moment spent exploring the magnificent array of colourful coral formations and swimming with the brilliant coloured fish is one of discovery, often exciting, sometimes breathtaking, with unforgettable memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Visiting two spectacular outer reef sites in one day you will spend maximum time in the water and minimum time travelling. Great for all ages!

Barbecue lunch, snorkelling equipment and tuition and onboard entertainment are included in the standard reef tour. Extra options include scuba diving, semi-submersible tour, helicopter scenic flights, marine biology lessons/tours and PADI dive courses.

Five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef Destinations. Professional, friendly and attentive staff ensure a safe and enjoyable fun filled experience. Capture the vast scope of the Outer Barrier Reef with an awesome birdseye view. Scenic flights depart from their exclusive heli-pontoon on the Outer Barrier Reef. Less travel time, more time at the reef. Evolution departs Cairns daily offering a fast, comfortable and affordable cruise, with five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef Destinations. Professional, friendly and attentive staff ensure a safe and enjoyable fun filled experience. A free snorkel tour is also available on the day for those less confident in the open water and for those who want to learn about the reef.

Dugong Sanctuary - Clairview

In 1997, the Great Barrier Reef Ministerial Council established Clairview (a small beach town approximately 1.5 hours south of Mackay) as a dugong sanctuary.
