Travel Information

It’s heartbreaking to see the bushfire devastation happening across Australia right now. On behalf of Queensland, our thoughts are with fire-affected communities who have lost so much and the heroes working tirelessly to keep us safe.

The tragic loss of wildlife is devastating and we take our hats off to tourism operators like Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation and Australia Zoo for taking in animals from affected areas and looking after them, plus all the incredible work being done across the country.

If you're looking for ways to help right now, here are some options to show your support:

To support the Australian Red Cross | Currumbin Wildlife Hospital | Australia Zoo.

To donate goods or for updates on the fires

Queensland has been fortunate to remain largely unaffected by the current bushfires and Queensland’s tourism operators and experiences are operating as usual. Some rural bushfire warnings are in place.
