No visit to Mon Repos is complete without a stop at the turtle centre. Here you’ll learn heaps about marine turtles, and the conservation and research programs that are protecting them. You'll also find out how a colourful history and ancient connections have shaped the Mon Repos you see today.

Gayndahs Big Orange

Gayndah is known as the citrus capital of Queensland and also the home of the Big Orange. Visit between April and October to taste the fresh juice made from the citrus growing on the property. The cafe serves up delectable Devonshire Teas and Real Bean Coffees.

Gin Gin Library offer various items for loans to members including books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, and eDownloads. Visitors are able to join the library as temporary members by paying a refundable security deposit.

South Sea Islander Church and Hall

The South Sea Islander Church and Hall commemorates the enormous contribution provided by the South Sea Islander community in establishing a viable sugar cane industry in Bundaberg. The hall itself was built circa 1920 to cater to the spiritual needs of the South Sea Islander population who were harvesting sugar at Fairymead Plantation.

Bundaberg City Heritage Treasures

Bundaberg has a wealth of heritage treasures for the history-conscious. This journey is a small sample taken from the heritage walk, including School of Arts, Post Office, Linden Clinic, Dental Surgery, Old Australia Bank, Christ Church and the Holy Rosary Church.
