The Gold Coast 100 super marathon is Australia's premier 100 kilometre race and was established in 2003.

It is based at the Gold Coasts Sports Super Centre at Runaway Bay at the northern end of the Gold Coast. It is just a one hour drive from the Brisbane and Gold Coast international airports. Accommodation is in abundance in the surrounding area.

It hosts the National 100 kilometre championships for Athletics Australia and Australian Ultra Runners Association Inc. (AURA).

The run course is on a 6.25 kilometre loop. It is flat, traffic free and fast.

Event options include 25 kilometres, marathon, 50 kilometres, 50 miles and 100 kilometres and a 4 by 25 kilometres relay.

The Gold Coast is Australia's premier tourist destination and it is just 15 minutes from the race venue to any of the numerous theme parks and other attractions.
