Paronella Park, lunch and Mamu Skywalk

After your Cairns or Northern Beaches hotel pickup they travel south through Innisfail to Paronella Park. Paronella Park is a unique eco-friendly experience where history and romance are as one. Paronella Park is a magical place nestled amongst heritage gardens and acres of Australian rainforest situated on the banks of Mena Creek. The ruins of the Spanish Castle feature prominently on the grounds of Paronella Park. Visitors can explore the architecturally unique ruins of the castle and buildings of yesteryear, or wander through the lush gardens and Australian rainforest. Next is a leisurely lunch at Mena Creek Hotel with a choice of 5 meals and a beer/wine or soft drink is included. Mamu Tropical Skywalk is located 20 minutes from Paronella Park along the Palmerston Highway. The facility includes more than 1,100 metres of walking tracks through rainforest, linking the 10 metre cantilever, 350 metre elevated walkway through the canopy and the 37 metre high observation tower. This is an all inclusive small group tour in an air-conditioned mini bus.

Skyrail, Kuranda and Mareeba

After your hotel pickup they travel to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your memorable journey up the Kuranda Range taking in the spectacular views over Cairns' Northern Beaches. There are two stops on your journey for you to enjoy the rainforest and wildlife. You will then be able to have a short visit in the sleepy little village of Kuranda where you will find many stalls and handicrafts. They then travel to Jaques Coffee Plantation in Mareeba, a working coffee farm where you will enjoy a guided tour of the plantation followed by a delicious lunch with coffee or tea. A few minutes away in Mareeba is the Mareeba Heritage Museum where you can step back in time and learn about the history of the Atherton Tablelands. To round off the day we will stop off at Emerald Creek Ice-Creamery where you can partake in your choice of one of their handmade ice creams. On our way back down the Kuranda Range you will have the option of stopping at the Henry Ross Lookout for a magnificent afternoon view of Cairns.

After your pickup from Yorkey's Knob Marina, Cairns Cruiseship Terminal or your hotel in Cairns or Northern Beaches, head towards the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway terminal at Smithfield where you will begin your memorable journey up the Kuranda Range taking in the spectacular views over Cairns' northern beaches and our World Heritage Rainforest.

There are two stops on your journey for you to enjoy the rainforest and wildlife as well as get a birds eye view over Barron Falls.

Your local guide will be at the skyrail terminal in Kuranda to transfer you the short distance to Kuranda Village where you can have a leisurely wander around the markets and shops.

Next, enjoy lunch with coffee or tea at the award winning Frog's Restaurant in Kuranda.

After lunch we will travel down the Kuranda Range to Cairns Aquarium, proudly displaying ten amazing North Queensland ecosystems from the world’s most ancient rainforest to the world’s largest coral reef to discover 70 different exhibits showcasing the rare and incredibly unique species of this region.

Tijou Reef is located at the southern end of the Far Northern Reefs, so is often the first or last dive site explored on an expedition to this remote area. The sheltered western side of Tijou Reef is dotted with coral bommies and coral gardens that offer wonderful diving in depths to 30 metres.
