Markets

When you're visiting Queensland, keep an eye out for local markets. These pop up events are your opportunity to taste local produce, buy hand-made knick-knacks and listen to live music.

Farmers Markets

Queensland is blessed with fresh produce from the Atherton Tablelands in Cairns and all the way south to the food and wine region of Southern Queensland Country. So, it's very common to stumble across fresh fruit and vegetable markets across the state. Check out: The Eumundi Markets in the Sunshine Coast is actually a collection of five markets in one. With stalls as far as the eye can see you can pick up knick-knacks, fresh produce, homeware and clothing or dine on international cuisines. You can even dine on everything from freshly made French crepes and German sausages to Brazilian acai bowls and Sunshine Coast cheese and cured meats. Eumundi Markets are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The Jan Power's Farmers Market in Brisbane City is the place to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables and healthy lunch if you're wondering through the city. The markets are located on the top of Queen Street (in front of the Treasury Casino) and are buzzing with stalls and patrons every Wednesday.

Saturday and Sunday Markets
