McIntosh Island Park is situated in the middle of Surfers Paradise. An oasis in the midst of high rises, this park is a sanctuary for many! This park has been established for many many years, and most Gold Coasters can remember visiting during their childhood!

McIntosh Island Park is a very popular spot for a picnics and gatherings with family and friends. The large park offers many options for your party or gathering, with large trees providing excellent shade options. The cascading stream running through the park is home to several species of birds and provides a tranquil atmosphere.

This is one of the most popular parks for wedding ceremonies. The central location to many hotel reception venues makes this a great spot for wedding celebrations, large or small. The Mission Beach Markets are local community markets run by Rotary Mission Beach. The Mission Beach Markets are held in the shady Day Park beside the beach on Porter Promenade, Mission Beach. They run from 7am until 12noon, and are held on the first and third Sunday of each month all year round.

Silkwood is a short 25 minute drive South from Innisfail The Feast is held annually on the first Sunday in May, to celebrate and Commemorate the lives of three brothers, Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, who were martryed for their Christian beliefs.
