The use of river canoes, bikes, yoga classes, guided rainforest walks and complimentary shuttle to Port Douglas are also included in the room rate.

Our Rooms

Billabong Suites

The two Billabong Suites are architecturally re-designed Riverhouses, with open plan lay out including a separate lounge with both rooms opening onto a large balcony overlooking the Mossman River with hammock and day beds.

Billabong Suites are designer decorated throughout and come with a king bed, day bed, table setting, sofa/lounge, flat screen television/dvd, reference library, inclusive mini bar, large en suite bathroom with rainforest shower and double spa bath. Ipod docking stations, oil burners, robes and slippers and turn down service ensure guests receive an ultimate luxury rainforest experience.

Daintree Treehouse

Daintree Treehouses have a contemporary, cosy ambience and luxury en-suite marble bathroom with walk in rain shower. Each room has its own private balcony with lush rainforest views of the Daintree National Park.

Garden Treehouse

Garden rooms have elegant tropical interiors with Rosewood and Silky Oak timber featured throughout. Bathrooms have separate shower and large spa bath. Floor to ceiling windows open out to a private balcony with double hammock providing a perfect way to sit back and relax. Rooms are in close proximity to the main lodge.

River Treehouse

Set in prime riverfront location, spectacular rainforest views and the soothing sounds of the Mossman River are key designer elements of these premium River Treehouses. Generously spacious, with polished timber floors and elegant interiors, room appointments are stylish and comfortable. An oversized spa bath, with uninterrupted rainforest views, is one of the many special inclusions offered in addition to standard room features, which include a daybed. Includes turn down service, oil burner, iPod docking stations as well as a balcony overlooking the Mossman River including a hammock.

Lodge Suites

Their two Lodge Suites offer a spacious and open plan lay out. Designer decorated throughout with a contemporary luxury feel. An extra large balcony overlooks the rainforest with its own outside king size four poster day bed and outside sitting area. Room is 88 square metres including the balcony. These are our 'family' rooms and accommodate up to a maximum of four guests.

Deluxe Treehouse

At Silky Oaks Lodge, guests are accommodated in beautiful timber Deluxe Treehouses. Set into the rainforest and surrounded by lush gardens, each carefully designed to offer privacy and maximum comfort. Treehouses have an understated tropical style with natural tones and timbers used to create a relaxed, soothing living space. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto a wide verandah where a hammock is perfectly positioned to make the most of picturesque views. Air-conditioned, interiors are spacious and attractively furnished with a range of contemporary comforts including a daybed. Large bathrooms, including a spa bath, Compact Disc player, phone, coffee and tea making facilities are among some of the in-room features.

Pinnacles, The

Arguably the best dive site in the Whitsundays, with hard corals comparing favourably to those seen on the outer Great Barrier Reef. The best dive is off the western beach, adjacent to the Woodpile and swim east at a depth of seven to 15 metres.

Blue Pearl Bay

Butterfly Bay - Hook Island

A popular bareboat anchorage, Butterfly Bay is situated on the northern side of Hook Island. There are limited public moorings and snorkelling can be enjoyed along the bay edge or just off the beach. Offering coral outcrops with shallow walls, the bay is populated by many small, colourful reef fish species.

Ngaro Cultural Site

The Ngaro people have walked this land for over 9,000 years. Protected from the elements in a once-hidden cave, Ngaro artwork adorns the fragile rock surface. The track begins deep inside Nara Inlet on Hook Island — an excellent overnight anchorage.

Whitehaven Beach

Maureens Cove, Hook Island

Situated on the northern side of Hook Island, Maureen's Cove is a popular anchorage with sailors and divers alike. There are two dive sites at Maureen's Cove. At the back of the cove, on the western side of the beach is a series of bommies starting at 12 - 15 metres and rising to within three metres of the surface, parallel to the shoreline.

Langford Island

Langford Island, near Hayman Island in the northern Whitsundays is a popular spot with sailors, divers and snorkellers. Many of the bareboats and crewed sailing boats will anchor near Langford Island. Langford Island is relatively small, but features a long sand spit that all but disappears at high tide.

Luncheon Bay

Luncheon Bay is situated on the northern side of Hook Island and features pristine coral and superb marine life. Luncheon Bay is popular with beginner divers thanks to its easy beach entry option. Intro divers can enter the water gradually from the beach, allowing plenty of time to become accustomed to the dive gear and the water.

Nara Inlet

Nestled in the south east end of the Whitsundays’ Hook Island is Nara Inlet, a secluded bay with tranquil waters that reflect the dense forestry that covers the island’s steep hills. The clear water acts as a window to the fringing reef and is known for its sheltered anchorage and easy access to the island.

Lindeman Islands National Park

Lindeman Islands National Park is part of the world famous Whitsunday islands and Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. Aboriginal people referred to the main island, Lindeman, as Yara-kimba, the place of snapper-bream fish.
