Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races

Tara,

30 July – 1 August 2021 -

Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races is a three day event in which visitors can experience a unique blend of multi-cultural entertainment and an authentic camel race meet in a country location. Staged every two years on the first weekend in August in the tiny town of Tara, just three and a half hours west of Brisbane and two hours west of Toowoomba, the population of the town swells during festival time.

In addition to the iconic camel races there is an eclectic mix of live entertainment, bands, roving performers, cultural cuisine, and colourful cultural stage shows.

You can camp onsite at the festival, in either Tent City with beds all ready to move in, or set up your own camp at one of the 3000 festival camping sites!
