Museum of Brisbane brings our city’s vibrant art, culture and history to life through their award-winning exhibitions, workshops, tours, talks and children’s activities.

Located in City Hall, the Museum is part of the living history of the city, examining how Brisbane and its people change over time and how their individual and collective stories reveal their character and create their identity. They are also the keeper of City Hall’s rich heritage, and visitors can experience a bird’s eye view of Brisbane from the top of the iconic Clock Tower on one of our popular tours, as well as learn the stories behind City Hall during an insider’s tour of the 90-year-old building.

Museum of Brisbane is an avid supporter of the city’s artists, designers and artisans. They are dedicated to transforming their artistic vision into a stunning reality through their exhibitions and artist-in-residence program. The work of Brisbane’s artists, designers and chefs can also be found at MoB Shop which stocks a bespoke range of jewellery, fashion accessories, home-wares, design objects, books, artworks and gourmet food products.

Egg Rock Dive Site

Mount Surprise is a railway town on the Cairns to Forsayth Railway and is the first town within the Gulf Savannah encountered by visitors approaching from the east. It is a centre for gem fossicking, with quantities of topaz, quartz, spinel, garnet, cairngorm and aquamarine to be found.

Shelving Beach Dive Site

Located at the south west corner of Great Keppel Island, Shelving Beach can be a little difficult to reach without a boat, but many visitors walk the bush track to explore this secluded spot.

The steep volcanic outcrop that shelters the bay was formed over 70 million years ago and is one of the most fascinating geological formations in the area.

Bald Rock Dive Site

The Keppels,
Bald Rock is located at the eastern end of Great Keppel Island, off Yeppoon, and is a great spot for smaller marine life. The rocky reef around Bald Rock varies in depth from 6 metres to 15 metres, and divers will find plenty of gutters, ledges and small caves to explore.
