Daintree Valley Haven offers three very private self-contained B&B bungalows on 30 acres of rainforest and tropical gardens in a beautiful valley surrounded by Daintree National Park, eight kilometres beyond Daintree Village.
Each studio-style, air-conditioned, bungalow accommodates up to three adults and overlooks a wetlands-dam and rainforest, home to over 140 species of seasonal birds, butterflies, turtles, wallabies and bandicoots.
There is a king or queen pillowtop bed, convertible sofa, ensuite, well-equipped kitchenette with microwave, cooktop and coffee capsule machine, DVD or CD player and verandah furniture to enjoy the peace and quiet and birdlife.
A complimentary breakfast basket includes home-grown and home-made produce and is delivered daily. Self-cook meal and drink packages are available. Delicious water from an underground spring.
The Shed is the communal area and features barbeque, jazuzzi, board-games, small wildlife library, book exchange, dartboard and complimentary Wifi.
Easy walking/jogging trails meander through the property. Listen to the silence and marvel at the stars on dark nights.

Daintree Valley Haven is a 90-minute drive from Cairns Airport - ideally located to explore Daintree Village, Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas.
Each of the two studio style Bungalows has been recently-renovated (2017), they are air-conditioned, fully-insect-screened, and have an en suite bathroom with large shower, ceiling fan, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and all cooking utensils.
Each bungalow has a Queen bed and convertible sofa for one extra adult - please note there are no facilities for children under 12.
There is a timber dining setting, sofa and 'papa-san' chair, a very private veranda with outdoor furniture, overlooking a wetlands-dam and rainforest. Wonderful bird-watching for your own veranda as there are over 140 species of annual and permanent visitors.
'Cassowary Castle' and 'Birdwing Bungalow' are quite near each other, yet still very private and are especially popular with guests who are travelling together.
The layout and facilities of Sunbird Sanctuary are similar to the Queen bungalows with a King bed and a convertible sofa for one extra adult.
