Sunrover Expeditions offers one, two and three day tours of Fraser Island and Moreton Island from Brisbane daily with a choice of camping, staying at Tangalooma Resort, Eurong Beach Resort or Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Tours depart from the Gold Coast Transit Centre, Brisbane Roma Street Transit Centre, Noosa Info Centre and Rainbow Beach. Sunrover Tours keeps their groups small and takes pride in offering personalised services. All tours offer the choice of staying in tents on camp sites or to upgrade to beach lodges or hotel accommodation, for example the Eco Award winning Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

Sunrover has a tour option to cater to all tastes and budgets.

Our Tours

Day One; four wheel drive past aboriginal midden site at Spitfire Creek. Swim or snorkel in freshwater lake, Blue Lagoon and four wheel drive along wilderness surf beach and to the desert sandhills for a sandboarding adventure.

Enjoy island hotel accommodation at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort - a magical setting on Moreton Bay.

You can also experience the thrill of handfeeding wild dolphins at night.

Day Two; start with an early morning beach walk or relax before a late tropical buffet breakfast overlooking the bay. Try one of the many resort facilities including pools, tennis, archery or squash.

Travel with your experienced driver and guide in a small group to explore Fraser Island.

Today you travel north past the Glasshouse Mountains to the seaside town and coloured sands of Rainbow Beach (morning tea stop own cost).

Look for Dolphins, Turtles and Dugong as you ferry cruise across bay to Fraser Island. Four Wheel Drive Fraser Island’s 75 mile surf beach with an eye out for dingoes, sea eagle and whale. Fresh buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort or picnic lunch at rainforest or lakes. Visit Lake McKenzie and Central Station Rainforest.

Pass the Glasshouse Mountains to Noosa River Ferry and Cooloola Coast Beach. At Rainbow Beach enjoy the coloured sands and surf. Take the ferry to Fraser Island and enjoy a surf beach, Lake Wabby, and a famous sand dune where you can swim, hike and turtle watch.

The Mission Beach Markets are local community markets run by Rotary Mission Beach. The Mission Beach Markets are held in the shady Day Park beside the beach on Porter Promenade, Mission Beach. They run from 7am until 12noon, and are held on the first and third Sunday of each month all year round.

The Feast of the Three Saints is held at St Johns Parish School in Silkwood every year. Silkwood is a short 25 minute drive South from Innisfail The Feast is held annually on the first Sunday in May, to celebrate and Commemorate the lives of three brothers, Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, who were martryed for their Christian beliefs.
