Davies Creek Mountain Bike Park

Davies Creek Mountain Bike Park is a network of flowing trails winding along the shadowed slopes of the Lamb Range. This park includes lengths and grades suitable for all riders to navigate granite outcrops, cross clear streams and traverse forests of bloodwoods, stringybarks, she-oaks, cycads and grass trees.

Wet Tropics

The Wet Tropics World Heritage property extends from Townsville to Cooktown on the north-east coast of Queensland and covers almost 900,000 hectares. The area is a region of spectacular scenery with fast-flowing rivers, deep gorges, numerous waterfalls and mountain summits providing expansive rainforest views.

Hell Hole Gorge National Park

Adavale, Quilpie Area

Hell Hole Gorge is part of the Powell plateau which forms part of the Grey Range. The deeply incised Powell Creek with steep, dissected escarpments and vertical cliffs up to 45 metres high drains through the centre of the area along with the smaller Spencers and Gorge Creek.

Wongi State Forest and Forest Reserve

Maryborough, Fraser Coast Area
In Wongi National Park and Forest Reserve, beautiful waterholes fringed by paperbarks and rushes are surrounded by eucalypt forest and exotic pine plantations. In the heart is Lake Lenthall, which provides the water supply for Hervey Bay.

Boat Mountain Regional Park

Murgon, South Burnett Area

This distinctive flat-topped ridge, shaped like an upturned boat, is a landmark near Murgon. Rising to a height of 589 metres, Boat Mountain is covered in dry rainforest with areas of open eucalypt forest.

Smalleys Beach

Cape Hillsborough, Mackay Area

Smalleys Beach is situated approximately 35 kilometres north of Mackay and is part of the Hibiscus Coast. This secluded beach is also located in the Cape Hillsborough National Park and offers limited camping sites.

Bees on Keswick Island

Keswick Island, Mackay Area

Keswick Island is home to thriving hives of purebred Caucasian bees. Unlike bees on the Australian mainland, these bees are free of many other diseases and are sometimes used as breeding stock for the mainland colonies.

Mothar Mountain Rockpools

Gympie, Gympie Area

Looking for a relaxing, sheltered place to while away some hours, you can't go past the Mothar Mountain Rock Pools. Located in the Woondum National Park, about a 20 minutes, 16 kilometres drive from Gympie's Central Business District, the Mothar Mountain Rock Pools day area provides the perfect family friendly location for a barbecue or picnic.

Condamine Gorge '14 River Crossing'

Killarney, Southern Downs Area

Accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicles only, the Condamine Gorge's '14 River Crossings' track is appropriately named after the 14 river crossings you have to make exploring this beautiful part of the Gorge.

Lobley Park

Churchill, Ipswich Area

If you'd like to give the kids a park experience to remember while you're in Ipswich, the award-winning Lobley Park will make you very popular with the younger members of the family. The park has an aviation theme, earning its nickname of 'the aeroplane park', so budding pilots' or flight attendants' spirits will be in the clouds.
